effects of wet weather and near-hurricane conditions

rainfall for testing the adequacy of foul weather garments and all types
of general military materiel and equipment
- Wind-driven
rain - movable machine produces up to 4 in./hr of rain at up to 50 mph
wind
- Three
moveable wind machine units generate up to 100 mph winds from a distance
of 40'
- Two
30' high rain towers accommodating items up to 30' by 50' in area and
up to 25' tall
- Produces
simulated free-falling rain of intensities up to 4 in./hr
- Accommodates
evaluation of associated shelter support/restraint systems (stakes,
guy lines, etc.), generators, environmental control units, and all other
wheeled and tracked vehicles
- Dynamic
rain course where personnel perform simulated combat activities
