8000 pound Package Tester

 

Drop testing:
  • Two outside drop towers (one 60' and one 30' - with two drop arms)
  • Drop surfaces:
    - 3-inch steel with a Brinell hardness of 269 to 311; backed by 18 inches of
    crushed stone
    - Anviltop (1-inch layer of iron aggregate attached to 12 inches of concrete)
  • Drop capacity - 4000 pounds
  • Video on site
  • Remote operations available for hazardous items
  • Disposal/destruction available, if needed (item dependent)
Loose cargo testing:
  • Three package testers with temperature enclosures
    - Two 12,000 pound capacity testers with 8' x 12' steel-covered test surface
    - One 8,000 pound capacity tester with 6' x 8' steel-covered test surface
  • Temperature enclosures for temperature-conditioning items from +170°F to -70°F
  • Circular motion with 1-inch displacement, acceleration variable up to 1.5 g’s
  • Remote capability for hazardous items
